The 1966 rear end housing you sent last month is spot on perfect. I was sure it was going to be a good piece, but you’ve gone beyond. This is just great. I recently purchased and installed one of Don’s housings for a ‘66 k code. These look like brand new and are exactly as original. We are lucky to have such a well made product available and I will probably buy more housings from Don.

To verify Don’s value on the housings, I can tell you I sold a ‘65 Hi-Po housing a few years ago for about $2100.

Sigh, I wish you were around when I was restoring my K. If the $$$ weren’t so tight right now I’d be jumping all over this.

I can confirm that the tubes are correct. They are not reused 8” tubes, they are brand new. I asked the seller/builder how he made them… and he winked at me! He has come up with a way to make the taper on the virgin tube stock and isn’t sharing his secret. If I had the key I wouldn’t share it either!

I also stopped and looked at the housings – they are awesome! If you need one BUY ONE you will not be disappointed. My buddy Charlie and I stopped and looked at the 9” housings. I must say that they looked very good. I couldn’t tell tell that it wasn’t an original. In this day we usually have no choice other than to put up with sub-par repro parts or pay rediculous prices for NOS or usable original parts. If I was in need of a 9” Mustang housing and couldn’t find a suitable original, I’d get one of these.

You can see how his tube steps down from the weld to the center section… Don’s rear end is dead on perfect… No one is building them correct like he is… there is no competition here when it comes to accuracy.

Incredible… Incredible work… Worth every penny if you have a Shelby that needs the right rear end or a hipo car that needs the right rear end… are you showing it for concourse judging… then its the way to go.
